With the victory, Louisville (20-11, 11-7 Big East) may have punched its ticket to the NCAA tournament, but will know for sure when the field of 64 is announced next weekend. The Cardinals had earlier defeated Syracuse in New York thus sweeping the season series. Sophomore center Samardo Samuels came alive in the second half to finish with 12 points and nine rebounds, including two devastating dunks. Louisville will play the winner of the University of Cincinnati/Rutgers University game in the Big East tournament at 9:00 p.m. EST Wednesday night.

Springfield, IL (03-07-2010): Kentucky Wesleyan College blew a big first-half lead then rallied from a 10-point second-half deficit to beat Northern Kentucky University 81-76 in the semifinals of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament on Saturday in Springfield, Illinois. Memphis, TN (03-07-2010): Tulsa University ended its regular season with a disheartening 75-53 loss to University of Memphis and Saturday. Senior center Jerome Jordan led Tulsa with 19 points but the Memphis defense clamped down on the other scorers to gain the easy victory. Tulsa (21-10, 10-6 C-USA) will now look to the conference tournament where they will play Rice University on Wednesday. Tulsa won the only meeting between the teams this season, capturing a 62-58 victory at home
