Eddie Casiano was the unanimous choice for Coach of the Year after getting 25 of 27 possible votes. The two who didnt vote for Casiano were himself and the team owner since they cant vote for their players/coaches for awards.
Casiano had a 22-8 record with Indios who finished in first place. He has enjoyed a great year in coaching since he came here after winning a title with Halcones Rojos in Mexico.
The former Puerto Rican National Team shooting guard started his coaching career in 2009 with Indios and won coach of the year in his first season.
In 2009 he reached the semifinals with Indios but lost in Vaqueros, in 2012 he faced the same team and reached the first finals in franchise history.

The game at Santurce saw the debut of Carlos Mario Rivera as head coach of the Mets. The team made some defensive adjustments and offensively played aggressively to get the win. Larry Ayuso (190-G-77, agency: Paris Global Sports, college: USC) netted 23 points for the winners.
The only game scheduled for Monday is Brujos de Guayama at Leones de Ponce. Guayama has lost seven games in a row.
The Bayamon Cowboys continue making moves looking to achieve qualification for the playoffs. This time they signed former team member guard Raymond Barbosa (188-G-84, agency: Paris Global Sports, college: UMBC).
