Puerto Rican national team center Daniel Santiago (216-C-76, agency: Priority Sports, college: N.Mexico) signed with Boca Juniors for the 2012-2013 season of the Argentinean National League. He is expected to arrive in Buenos Aires on Friday.

Santiago played last season for Capitanes de Arecibo and averaged 10.55 points and 5.1 rebounds in 29 games. He has many years of experience in the best leagues in the world including the NBA, ACB, Italy and Turkey.

Boca is also close to signing guard Joel Jones (196-G/F-81, agency: Paris Global Sports, college: Sacramento St.). Jones played last season with Piratas de Quebradillas and then went to the Dominican Republic where he had a stint with Indios SFM.

This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Leones (10-12) to eighth ranked Atleticos (10-14) 100-98 on Sunday evening. Team East - Team West 125:120 Team East claimed victory in All-Star Game in Aguada. Victor Liz (193-SG-86) stepped up with 26 points to pace the winners. Carlos Arroyo (188-PG-79, college: FIU, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 3 points, 21 assists and 5 rebounds to be named the MVP. Team West grabbed a 25:19 lead after the first period. In a surprising move the Indios of Mayaguez after don't reach an agreement with coach Carlos Calcano they announce the sign of the Puerto Rican National Team captain Jose Juan Barea to be their head coach.
