Los Leones - UdeC 63-75

UdeC claimed Liga Nacional title. They overcame Los Leones on the road to win the Finals 4-2. The game was mostly controlled by Universidad de Concepcion. Los Leones managed to win third quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Universidad de Concepcion forced 20 Los Leones turnovers. American forward Jerry Evans (203-1990, college: Nevada) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Kevin Rubio (192-2000) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Universidad de Concepcion players scored in double figures. Universidad de Concepcion's coach Cipriano Nunez used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Darrol Jones (193-1994) with 27 points and international forward Ignacio Carrion (201-1993) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds.

Puerto Varas - Univ. Concepcion 69-62

Puerto Varas clinched the Chilean Cup title. They edged Univ. Concepcion in the title game on Wednesday. Franco Morales (179-G-92) scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the charge.
Univ. Concepcion grabbed a narrow 16-15 lead after ten minutes of action. They maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. Univ. Concepcion ensured a 34-28 halftime lead. Univ. Concepcion stayed in charge throughout the third term. They entered the fourth period up by 7 points. But Puerto Varas turned things around in the final quarter. They went on a massive 26-10 run in the fourth stanza to snatch the victory and capture the trophy. Juan Fontena (196-C-87) notched 14 points in the win. Diego Silva (186-PG-93) answered with 16 points for Univ. Concepcion.
