San Antonio Silver Stars released 24-year old Chilean international center Ziomara Morrison (193-89, agency: Regeneracom Sports).
This season Morrison played at Rivas Ecopolis (LFB) in Spanish league. In 19 games she had 7.4ppg and 4.8rpg this season. She helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. This season Morrison played at Rivas Ecopolis (LFB) in Spanish league. In 19 games she had 7.4ppg and 4.8rpg this season. She helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. A very impressive season as she was voted Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LFB Center of the Year. Morrison also played 14 games in WNBA where she recorded 5.9ppg and 3.9rpg. This summer she played at San Antonio Silver Stars. Morrison won Spanish LF2 Group B championship title in 2011. She also represented Chile at the South American Championships in Santiago (Chile) three years ago. Her stats at that event were 4 games: Score-3 (18.5ppg), Reb-1 (11.3rpg), 2.0apg, FGP: 46.9%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 75.8%. Morrison has played previously professionally in Italy (Ribera) and Spain (Jopisa Burgos and Aros Leon).

Ziomara Morrison (193-C-89, agency: Regeneracom Sports) wins the Cup title abroad. Her Spanish Rivas Ecopolis clinched the Copa de la Reina title. They overcame Perfumerias Avenida in the Final today. Aneika Henry stepped up with 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners to be named the MVP.

The lead changed hands for several times before Moreno tied things up at 41 at the interval. Rivas Ecopolis went on a 13:3 rally at the start of the third quarter to take a 53:44 advantage. They entered the fourth frame up by 11 points 61:50. Erkic and Vadja opened a 16-point lead for Rivas Ecopolis midway through the final term and they never looked back en route to the win. Olexandra Kurasova accounted for 15 points, while Anna Cruz had 14 points for the winning side. Monique Currie responded with 20 points for Perfumerias Avenida. Le'Coe Willingham chipped in 10 points in the loss. Ziomara Morrison averages 7.5 points per game this season for her Spanish team.

Julie Wojta appeared in just one game in the WNBA last season. She played that game for the Lynx. She is currently playing for Belfius Namur in Belgium. Her stats read 15.7 points and 7.7 rebounds in D1. She also tallied 14.5 points and 7.7 rebounds per appearance in EuroCup. Yvonne Turner spends the current season in Russia. She plays for Dynamo-GUVD Novosibirsk. Her stats read 13.5 points, 4.0 assists and 3.3 boards in EuroCup. Yvonne Turner also delivers 14.5 points, 3.4 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game in PBL.
