The tournaments last year champions finalized their campaign with a tough win over the Astana Tigers from Kazakhstan. Minas had to deal with an early deficit as they looked sloppy in the first frame. The Tigers capitalized building a 17:14 lead at the first intermission. Minas got help from their topscorer Joseph Shipp (197-F-81, agency: Octagon, college: California). He ensured the comeback effort from Minas that put them ahead 33:32 at halftime. Astana however would not go away as they tied the score at 50 after three quarters of action. The teams traded baskets throughout the fourth period and appeared knotted up at 71 at the end of regulation. Minas then eked out a victory in a high-octane extra frame battle. Joseph Shipp knocked down 24 points to lead the charge for Minas. Luis Lemes (192-G-80, college: BYU) and Leandro Da Cruz (202-F/C-81) added 17 points each for the winners. Maxim Voyeikov (195-F-88) answered with 19 points for the Tigers. Anton Ponomarev (209-C-88) and Evgeni Isakov (203-F-82) scored 14 points each in defeat. Astana outrebounded their opponents 39:38 but sank only 40% from the field. Minas shot 50% of field goals and forced Astana to as many as 27 turnovers.

Israel will now face Eiffel Towers for the chance to play in the Final. Minas will now take on the Astana Tigers for the fifth overall spot.

Minas recovered in the second period as unstoppable Joseph Shipp (197-F-81, agency: Octagon, college: California) gave them the needed spark. Minas surged ahead and enjoyed a 39:36 advantage at halftime. The teams exchanged the baskets in the third frame with neither side able to succeed. Minas still led by 3 points at the start of the fourth quarter. Israel gained the rhythm back in the fourth term. Casspi led the charge as Israeli team notched 32 points in the final stanza. Their accurate free throw shooting in the final minutes allowed Israel to secure a tough win at the end. Minas failed to extend their winning streak to three games at the Haarlem Basketball Week in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Minas took on one of the leaders of the Dutch championship Eiffel Towers. Minas looked solid in the first half but ran out of steam in the second part of the game losing the battle and slipping at 2-1 record.
