30-year old guard LeRoy Hickerson (196-G-82) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Halc.Xalapa and receives a Latinbasket.com LNBP Player of the Round 6.
He had the game-high 34 points adding six rebounds for Halc.Xalapa in his team's victory, helping them to beat Fuerza Regia (#8, 3-3) 89-77. It allowed Halc.Xalapa to consolidate first place in the Mexican LNBP. They maintain perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Halc.Xalapa already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Hickerson had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range. He turned to be Halc.Xalapa's top player in his first season with the team. University of the Cumberlands graduate has very impressive stats this year. Hickerson is in league's top in points (8th best: 21.5ppg) and averages solid 68.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Kentrell Gransberry (206-C-85) of Soles. He is American center in his first season at Soles. In the last game Gransberry recorded impressive double-double of 30 points and 14 rebounds. Of course Soles cruised to a 83-73 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Barreteros (#10, 3-3). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Soles managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 12th place. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-4 record. Gransberry is a newcomer at Soles and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Michael Hunter (178-PG) of Guerreros (#11). Hunter got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for nine assists. He was a key player of Guerreros, leading his team to a 91-83 win against Lechugueros (2-4). The chances of Guerreros not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 4 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Hunter could try to bring Guerreros' a little bit higher in the standings. Hunter has individually a great season in Mexico. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.3ppg (9th best) and assists with 3.7apg (9th best). He also has 2.2spg and FGP: 57.8%. Hunter attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Ricardo Melendez (179-PG-83) of Panteras - 34 points and 6 rebounds
5. Steffphon Pettigrew (195-F) of Abejas - 27 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Travis Gabbidon (201-F) of Guerreros - 24 points and 9 rebounds
7. Anthony Johnson (197-G/F-79) of Huracanes - 30 points and 7 rebounds
8. Babacar Camara (211-C-81) of Lechugueros - 25 points and 6 rebounds
9. Ike Ofoegbu (205-F-85) of Toros - 19 points and 4 rebounds
10. Adrian Henning (203-F-82) of Toros - 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
